Thanksgiving Program for LET Passers
STE hosts a Thanksgiving Program

On March 13, 2024 in a heartfelt tribute, the School of Teacher Education (STE) recently hosted a Thanksgiving Program to celebrate the exceptional accomplishments of its successful passers in the recently concluded September 2023 Board of Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT).
The program was opened with a Thanksgiving Mass at the Rodolfo Neri Pelaez Campus Chapel and continued with the program proper at the Audio-Visual Room. Present in the affair were the STE faculty members, the graduating practice teachers who are set to take the next BLEPT, and the successful Licensed Professional Teachers (LPT’s) who were recognized and commended for their hard work and perseverance in this academic feat.
Dr. Ma. Fe D. Opina, Dean of the School of Teacher Education rendered her heartfelt and inspirational welcome remarks highlighting the significant legacy teachers can leave and the pivotal role that teachers play in the lives of people.
Highlights of the program included a moving testimonial speech by Czabae Gay E. Baybay-Modle, Top 10 in the national ranking of the September 2023 BLEPT. This is followed by a heartfelt response by Albert Andrie S. Ramos, a practice teacher and an incoming LET taker.
A video montage was showed to capture key moments and milestones of the board passers' academic journey before they became LPT’s. Kindle Mae B. Arcaya, a Bachelor of Secondary - major in English Licensed Professional Teacher, expressed heartfelt words of gratitude on behalf of the board passers, acknowledging the support and guidance received from the STE community. The audience was then entertained by the captivating performance of selected Bachelor of Physical Education students.
As the program drew to a close, Dr. Jolly D. Puertos, Chairperson of the Bachelor of Secondary Education program, delivered the closing remarks, emphasizing the importance of continued excellence and service in the field of education. The event concluded with a Community Song entitled “Thanks to You” to express gratitude appreciation for the teachers of their unwavering guidance and mentorship that made them the person they are today.
The STE not only celebrates the achievements of its board passers but also reaffirms its commitment to shaping responsible global leaders deeply rooted in Total Human Formation and excellence who will inspire and empower future generations.
