Liceo de Cagayan University foreign students took the initiative to organize the
Internationalization Event during the 71st Founding Anniversary celebration of the University held
from February 23 to 28, 2026, as they led a series of intercultural activities that highlighted
diversity and global engagement.
College of Medicine’s foreign students spearheaded the activity under the leadership of Mr.
Bhukya Vijay Kalyan Nayak, Chairman of International Students Activities, the event aimed to
foster cultural exchange within the university community.
One of the main attractions was an intercultural food booth featuring a variety of international
dishes. Indian and Nepalese students prepared biryani rice with chicken, while Canadian,
American, and Vietnamese students from the College of Nursing served American pancakes to
event attendees.
The booth also featured henna hand tattoo services provided by Indian students, along with
product selling activities supported by School of Business Management and Accountancy
(Bachelor of Business Administration) Chinese students.
In addition, several foreign students showcased their musical talents during the Open Mic Singing
Activity organized by the Conservatory of Music, Theatre, and Dance on February 26. Participants
included Bista Nityodita, Bompally Indu, Ramala Kushal Prakash, Winstanley Nicholas Joseph,
and Simran Kaur.
The internationalization activities added vibrancy to the celebration, promoting unity and cultural
appreciation among students of diverse backgrounds.
