The Liceo academic community on October 25, 2022, saw a new milestone as the University received in a formal ceremony at the iconic Rodelsa Theatre the ISO 9001:2015 Certification – an unequivocal proof of the University's commitment to quality service that meets customer expectations and that conforms to the international standard. University President Dr. Alain Marc P. Golez, along with the Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Zenaida G. Gersana and Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Denise O. Orong, graciously received the certificate from Ms. Conception Pabalan, the Business Development and Client Relations Manager of SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, INC.
In his address to the academic officials, academic support personnel, and faculty in their Filipiniana attire, Dr. Golez acknowledged that the notable achievement was the result of the collective will and effort of the academic and non-academic heads and personnel led by the University's academic chiefs – Dr. Gersana and Dr. Orong. Emphasizing in his message the benefits of getting certified to the ISO 9001:2015 standards, he enjoined the members of the Liceo community to adapt to the new QMS. "Our ability, as well as our willingness, to adapt to the global movements to include the ISO 9001 Certification will make us excel in whatever we undertake in service to our stakeholders." Also, he recognized the importance of ISO 9001:2015 Certification as "an enabling mechanism crucial to the attainment of the University's goals and objectives."
Ms. Pabalan lauded Liceo U for the achievement. She urged the Liceo community to continue improving by remarking, "You cannot stay the way you were when you were first audited. You have to continuously improve because your best today is tomorrow's average expectations. And we do hope that you are up for the challenge."
