LICEO U EMPOWERS NON-TEACHING PERSONNEL THROUGH VALUES FORMATION SEMINAR

In a bid to strengthen institutional culture and deepen the moral compass of its workforce, Liceo de Cagayan University held a two-part values formation seminar for its non-teaching personnel titled “Anchored in Truth: Cultivating Integrity, Loyalty, and Discipline in Service.” The sessions were conducted on June 28 and July 8, 2025, in line with the university’s ongoing commitment to holistic employee development.

The initiative was conceptualized by Dr. Rafaelita P. Pelaez, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and implemented through the Office of the Vice President for Human Resources (OVPHR). The seminar aimed to reinforce Liceo U’s core values—integrity, loyalty, and discipline—through structured, reflective learning experiences that would guide employees in both professional practice and personal conduct.

Serving as the resource speaker was Mr. Joselito Solante Flores, a distinguished Licean and seasoned facilitator, who brought personal insight and authenticity to the discussions. Mr. Flores, who considers Liceo U as his formative training ground, shared meaningful anecdotes and engaged participants in a series of values-based modules and experiential learning activities.

The full-day program was divided into four modules, each focusing on a specific core value. Through interactive workshops, group dynamics, and real-life reflections, participants were invited to critically examine their roles within the institution and commit to excellence grounded in ethical behavior and principled service.

A symbolic highlight of the seminar was the candle-lighting and commitment ceremony, during which participants recited personal pledges to embody Liceo U’s ideals in their daily responsibilities. The solemn ritual served as a powerful culmination of the day’s learning, emphasizing the enduring importance of values in institutional service.

The “Anchored in Truth” seminar stands as a reaffirmation of Liceo de Cagayan University’s vision to shape not only skilled professionals but also morally grounded individuals who uphold the institution’s founding principles. The university continues to champion transformative programs that inspire character formation and cultivate a values-driven academic community.
