LICEO U UNVEILS SYNTHETIC CADAVER FOR MEDICAL SIMULATION
On July 13, 2023, Liceo de Cagayan University saw another milestone as it unveiled its
newly acquired SynDaver (synthetic cadaver), making Liceo U the first medical school in
Mindanao to use such state-of-the-art instructional technology. The full-sized, head-to-toe, G3
silicon model of the human body will be used for anatomy lessons and surgery training of
medical students. With this technology as an ideal alternative to using real human cadavers in
anatomy laboratories, students in medical and health-related programs can study human
anatomical features without the risk of exposure to biological hazards, thus making the learning
environment much safer.
The acquisition of the high-priced synthetic cadaver demonstrates Liceo U’s strong
commitment to the provision of high-quality health education.
