Leoniline May Dagangan, a 2nd-year Bachelor of Physical Education student from the School of Teacher Education (STE), was crowned grand winner at the 2025 Liceo Arts Festival: Cosplay Competition on February 20 at the Liceo Civic Center (LCC).
Captivating the audience with her striking portrayal of Ri Shiranui from Onmyoji Arena, she took home not only a trophy but also a cash prize worth Php 3,000. Moreover, Jennifer Abou Ibrahim from the School of Business Management and Accountancy (SBMA) secured second place, while Sophia Maniri from Senior High School (SHS) claimed third place as Jinx from Arcane.
Additionally, Gwen Paderanga from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) placed fourth as Baizhi from Wuthering Waves, and Czaina Iris Macapundag from the College of Nursing (CON) finished fifth as Sadako.
More than just a showcase of costumes and performances, the Cosplay Competition serves as a platform for students to express their creativity, passion for pop culture, and dedication to the art of character portrayal. By embodying their chosen characters through intricate costumes, makeup, and theatrical presentations, participants bring fictional worlds to life while celebrating the intersection of artistry, storytelling, and self-expression.
