Liceo CMLS Faculty Join Training on Ethical Animal Use and Lab Handling at CMU
Faculty
members from the College of Medical Laboratory Science (CMLS) of Liceo de
Cagayan University participated in a two-day live-out training on Humane and
Ethical Animal Use and Laboratory Handling held on July 23–24, 2025, at Central
Mindanao University (CMU) – College of Veterinary Medicine in Maramag,
Bukidnon.
The
training focused on proper animal care, laboratory handling techniques, and
compliance with ethical standards in research involving animals. It included
lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on activities emphasizing humane restraint,
sample collection, and adherence to animal welfare regulations.
This
initiative supports Liceo CMLS’s commitment to responsible research practices
and continuous faculty development, especially in preparation for future
studies involving biological and animal models.
